The lighthouse in Akrotiri is one of the most beautiful in the Cyclades. It was built in 1892 by the French Lighthouse Company. The height of the tower is 10 meters. Renovated in 1925, it stopped operating during World War II and began operating again in 1945. It was electrified in 1983 and its operation was automated in 1988.
