Santorini is known as one of the most beautiful places and people from all over the world dream of visiting it and admiring its grace up close. Read the above to know the must-see places in Santorini 2025.

1. Thira or Fira

Fira is the largest settlement and capital in Santorini. To the west, below Fira is Gialos, the old port, where cruise ships dock and the cable car starts. Almost connected to Fira is Firostefani. It is one of the stops you must make. The beautiful view of the caldera about 300 meters above the sea, the white houses, and their blue domes will reward you! Wander through the beautiful alleys of Fira and immerse yourself in the otherworldly beauty of the caldera. You can climb the 588 steps from the Old Port to get there.

2. Firostefani

You can reach Firostefani from Fira, following the “eyebrow” of the caldera at a distance of about 10 minutes on foot. The view of the caldera is unique, with the cliff being so steep that you will often feel a heartbeat. Especially, when the sun sinks into the sea you will be enchanted. In Firostefani you will find several remarkable suggestions for food, in restaurants and taverns with a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere.

3. Oia

Oia is one of the most famous destinations, known all over the world for its sunset and cave buildings that in recent years have hosted hotels, restaurants, cafes, and shops. It is without a doubt one of the most photographed places in Greece with the endless domes that appear in every corner, since there are more than 60 churches in Oia. At the edge of the settlement is the Castle, with the parts that have been preserved offering a unique view, but also a charming journey into history.

4. Imerovigli

It has been built linearly on the edge of the Caldera, occupies the most privileged position, and has the most breathtaking view of the Caldera and Thirasia. A special place for the village is the Castle of Skaros, the old Kastelli which for several centuries was the capital of the island.

5. Akrotiri

This is one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world and certainly the largest in the Eastern Mediterranean. The most important attraction in Akrotiri is the prehistoric settlement, which was first inhabited around 4500 BC and came to light after systematic excavations that began in 1967. You can take a Santorini Historical Private Tour with Santorini Tours in 2025.

6. Ammoudi

Buried in red volcanic rocks, below the beautiful Oia and next to the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea, lies a beautiful location in Santorini, the secluded Ammoudi. You can reach Ammoudi, the picturesque harbor that is a must-see in Santorini 2025, by descending the 214 steps that separate it from Oia. The 19th-century commercial port today welcomes mainly seafood lovers, who want to enjoy fresh fish and seafood.

7. Pyrgos

A beautiful village, a pole of attraction for thousands of visitors every year, who seek tranquility, natural beauty, and quality in everything. You will find yourself there in just 10 minutes by car from Fira. It has impressive architecture, curves beautiful alleys, whitewashed narrow streets, and countless churches.

8. Nea Kameni

Nea Kameni is today the most interesting, if not generally, at least geologically, point of Santorini. It is a small island, in the center of the caldera, which was created entirely by the volcano, with its oldest lands dating back to 1570 and the most recent to 1950! The locals call it a “volcano”, visitors make it a priority in their explorations and the legend loves it. In Nea Kameni, the largest crater is called Daphne. A visit here is truly an inconceivable experience.

A rare beach that is worth visiting. It stands out for its red sand but also for the red-black volcanic landscape that you encounter. It is accessible in two ways: by boat from Akrotiri or by road.

9. Perivolos

Perivolos Beach is a beautiful part of the island of Santorini 2025. There is a coastal road that on one side has a crystal clear beach with soft black sand and of course umbrellas and sun loungers and on the other, a multitude of beautiful restaurants and beach bars with great music and chill-out areas on the sand. The black sand may be strange, but its crystal clear waters compensate every visitor.

10. Vlychada

When you first find yourself on Vlychada Beach, you think you are in a science fiction movie. Lunar landscape, volcanic rocks, exotic atmosphere. The sea has formed many recesses and caves to explore.

11. White Beach

The White Beach makes the difference. As its name suggests, the beach is full of white rocks that contrast with its black sand. Ideally quiet compared to the busy and neighboring Red Beach. To reach the White Beach, one needs to board one of the boats that make the route, either from the port of Akrotiri or from the neighboring Red Beach. You can take a Santorini Exclusive Shore Private Tour With Santorini Tours.

12. Kamari

Kamari is one of the most cosmopolitan and touristy beaches of Santorini 2025. It stretches for about 5 kilometers, in front of the homonymous settlement on the east coast of the island and, together with Perissa beach, attracts the most people every summer. It has fine black sand and it is often called Black Beach, in contrast to Red and White and pebbles in some parts and you can visit Kamari in your Santorini private tour.

13.  Perissa

With black sand but also with a blue flag, Perissa Beach is an ideal choice for swimming, relaxation, and fun. It is fully organized, and has many beach bars, while for the more active there is also the possibility of water sports.

Known all over the world and one of the most famous tourist destinations, Santorini is a “holiday dream” for many. It may have the reputation of being the most romantic island with the most amazing sunset in almost the entire world, but the island’s beauties are numerous and enchant even the most demanding traveler.
